Hemp Technologies, LLC will partner with Think Green Building, Eco Concepts Realty and Development, the Natural Development Initiative to build the first two permited houses in the US using Tradical® Hemcrete®. Through a combination of  passive solar design, a super-insulated building envelope, interior thermal mass, high performance windows and doors  and careful construction detailing the buildings will be 80% more energy efficient than present code mandates, creating a healthy, comfortable indoor environment without need for a furnace or air conditioning. This “state of the art” building science will be combined with site-harvested materials, rainwater harvesting, greywater irrigation and a lush edible landscape and habitat to produce urban infill homesteads in the heart of West Asheville, NC. This NauHaus will also be "Platinum LEED" certified!
